UPDATE! The NEW Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Fluid Flex Foundation Available NOW (and I tried it)

Loved it so much I put it all over my face

Fluid Flex is giving me everything I loved about the OG but the new formula is just as long lasting despite its thinner, breathable less "mask-like" formula. The brand says the formula is waterproof and resists creasing, sweat, humidity, transfer and oxidation for up to 12 hours. It is also described as a water-and-silicone hybrid that is non-comedogenic, talc-free, fragrance-free, vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. Starfruit extract is included, according to Fenty, to help manage oil and shine.

Those attributes place Fluid Flex squarely in the longwear matte-foundation category, but its language is notably less focused on a fixed, perfected surface. Instead, the proposition is about flexibility: a base product made to remain comfortable and even through the ordinary movement that can make traditional longwear formulas gather around expression lines or separate across oilier areas of the face.

Okay just a little note. When I right-clicked an image in the browser (the Studio browser), I could click “Image” in Disco and then use “Browser Images.” I guess that's what they meant by “browser images.” I was able to do that. I still think I should be able to just drag and drop but oh God I can resize it. It'd be cool if I could also. 719. Me either but I was driving. It was raining. I think there's a way for me to inline it. Damage. It'd be cool if there was a way for me to actually put it in an article in such a way that it can also have the option of having text wrap around it. Do you know what I mean? Like where I put it inside of a paragraph and then it'll know what I mean there.

Maxxed out shade range featuring expanded neutral range

The new range spans five shade families—Light, Light-Medium, Medium, Medium-Deep and Deep—and uses a numerical code paired with an undertone designation. Shades include 106N, a fair neutral option, through 596N in the deep category. The line includes cool, neutral and warm shades, alongside a set of designated olive options: 186N, 206W, 226W, 306N, 376N, 396N and 416W.

That distinction matters because a large shade count alone does not ensure useful complexion matching. The original Pro Filt’r range helped make shade breadth a more visible benchmark in prestige makeup, but undertone calibration has become a more detailed consumer expectation in the years since. Fenty says Fluid Flex was reconstructed from scratch with fine-tuned undertones and a greater number of neutral options, suggesting that the update is as much about the internal architecture of the range as the move from 40 to 50 shades.

For shoppers navigating the revised numbering, Fenty is also offering a $12 Pro Filt’r Fluid Flex Foundation Shade Sample set. It contains three 1 mL samples and includes a code for $12 off a full-size bottle, effectively positioning the sampling option as a shade-matching tool rather than an add-on purchase.

The price, the brush, the "meh"

The 30 mL, or 1 fl oz, foundation is priced at $48 in the U.S. on Fenty Beauty, Sephora and Ulta listings. An earlier social-media announcement listed a $44 price, but current direct and retailer listings support the $48 figure.

The collection also includes the $36 Fluid Flex Foundation Brush 165. Fenty describes the tool as an XL concave brush with a soft scoop shape and dense, wavy synthetic bristles, designed to follow the contours of the face while blending and building liquid foundation. The brand also says its shape is intended to reduce product waste, an increasingly common consideration as liquid-complexion pricing continues to rise. That being said... im not a brush boy. Its good, does everything it says it does but nothing feels as good as a finger, a sponge, or a freshly squeezed beauty blender.

Fluid Flex does not treat the original Pro Filt’r as a formula to be lightly refreshed. By retiring the Soft Matte version and introducing a new shade map, formula identity and application tool, Fenty is presenting this as the next chapter of its foundational complexion franchise. The key test for the new formula will be whether its promised balance—natural matte coverage with a more flexible finish—translates across the varied skin types and undertones the Pro Filt’r name has long been expected to serve.
