Prada Lip Jelly Is Reportedly Set to Expand the Brand’s Lip-Care Line

Trademark records confirm the Prada Lip Jelly name, while an Instagram report points to a two-variant, balm-to-jelly lip treatment expected to arrive through Prada and selected retailers.

Prada Lip Jelly Treatment

Prada Beauty may be preparing a new lip-care format under the name Prada Lip Jelly. Although Prada has not yet published a product page or launch announcement, trademark-journal records confirm that Prada S.A. has registered PRADA LIP JELLY for cosmetics including lip balms, lending substance to reports of an imminent release.

An Instagram post circulating under the Prada Beauty hashtag describes Lip Jelly as a treatment-led lip product designed to sit between a balm and a high-shine jelly. The post reports an August-to-September availability window through Prada’s website and unspecified retailers, though it does not identify markets, stockists, a precise launch date, or the year of release.

That lack of official retail detail matters. There is currently no confirmed price, size, ingredient list, refill format, or final variant lineup for Prada Lip Jelly. Until Prada publishes its own product information, the launch should be viewed as a reported addition to the brand’s beauty portfolio rather than a fully announced release.

A reported balm-to-jelly format

Prada Lip Jelly Treatment

According to the Instagram report, Lip Jelly begins as a solid balm and shifts into a jelly-like texture with the warmth of the lips. The post characterizes the resulting finish as glossy and describes a film-forming effect intended to feel like a lightweight lip mask.

Those claims position the proposed product in the increasingly crowded territory between traditional lip balm, overnight treatment, and transparent lip gloss. The appeal of that hybrid category is practical: consumers often want the cushioning feel of a balm without a matte or wax-heavy finish, particularly for daytime use. But Prada has not independently detailed Lip Jelly’s formula, testing, or active ingredients, so claims around nourishment, barrier support, plumping, cooling, and treatment benefits remain unverified.

The report identifies two versions: 00 Green and 01 Blue. Blue is described as a clear blue option with a cooling feel and translucent shine, while Green is positioned as a richer, more moisturizing treatment with reported wrinkle-care and barrier-focused benefits. It is not yet clear whether those names represent shades, formulas, or distinct care profiles, and there is no confirmation that two is the final number of variants.

Not the same as Prada’s existing balm

Lip Jelly should not be confused with Prada Beauty’s current Optimizing Care Lip Balm range. That established collection includes the Universal Prada lip balm and other Optimizing Care options, which are currently listed in the United States at $50. Prada’s existing product information identifies bifidus extract and jojoba oil as key components of the established balm formula, with the Universal version offering a natural matte finish.

None of those details can yet be assigned to Lip Jelly. The forthcoming product’s reported transformation from solid balm to jelly, along with its glossy finish, suggests a different product proposition, but its actual composition has not been disclosed.

Prada also has prior form with color-led lip care. In 2024, the brand introduced a blue pH-responsive balm, Lip Balm Blushing Care U001, also known as Astral Pink, in Japan. That balm was reported to develop a personalized pink tone and was presented with the same bifidus-extract-and-jojoba-oil ingredient story as Prada’s broader care balm range. The new Lip Jelly report includes another blue option, but there is no evidence that it is related to the earlier pH-responsive product beyond the shared color cue.

What remains to be confirmed

The trademark history offers a useful indication of Prada’s planning timeline. PRADA LIP JELLY’s international registration is dated April 29, 2025, with a claimed Benelux priority date of February 19, 2025. Trademark activity does not establish an on-sale date, but it confirms that the name has moved through formal registration channels under Prada S.A.

The commercial details are still notably open. No official Prada Beauty listing has surfaced with a retail price, product weight, regional launch sequence, or named retail partners. There is also no confirmed information on fragrance, color payoff, refillability, clinical testing, or whether the product will be permanent or limited edition.

For now, Prada Lip Jelly is best understood as a credible but incompletely detailed forthcoming product: a trademark-backed name with reported blue and green variants, and a proposed format that would bring a glossier, more sensorial direction to Prada Beauty’s existing lip-care offer. The next meaningful update will be Prada’s own product disclosure, particularly whether the final formula distinguishes itself from the brand’s established balm range.
